our brief was to make a brief script and concept for a film based on the 'outsider' story from fiftfull of dollars i did a sci fi/horror version, these are my concept notes and several pictures i drew.
my basic plot so far in terms of narrative codes
-Bounty hunter (Gary Oldman) arrives at space dock in his old ship (Action Code and Enigma)
-he sees a poor alien family arguing (Action Code)
-Looks at space octopi eating a dead body (Enigma, Symbolic Code)
-A group of alien thugs mock his ship (Action Code)
- He retreats to a bar where a human barkeep (John Hurt) tells him about the city and the rival gangs (aliens and humans) warns him to leave and introduces him to the coffin maker ( Action code)
-Gary tells coffin maker to get some ready (Enigma Code)
-He kills the thugs who mocked his ship (Action Code)
