Film Evaluation

Using Editing rather than camera movement meant that we would have more control over the viewing experience, also it gave the film a faster pace this helps develop the crime thriller genre, the camera work was not always steady but i think this also added to the thriller genre.
The narrative was not especially clear but i think the general scenario was shown.

We used a gun from the drama department as a prop, we selected the graveyard as a location to add to the mood of the film.

We planned certain shots such as when ahmed arrive in the graveyard he is framed by railings which reflected how rob is trapped and ahmed breaks this.

Mini film task

Our first task was to produce a small 30 second clip, following a breif. I worked in a small group with Ahmed, Rob and Liam
we had to include the following dialouge:
Character 1- Just do it
Character 2- I can't
Character 1- Just do it
(pause..)
I cant wait for you to do it
We also had to include the following devices
-Shot reverse shot
-match on action

Our film was a Crime Thriller. Apart from poor acting talent the film is quite good we met all the requirements of the brief and used all the devices in the breif. our film sees Ahmed rushing to save Rob who is being held at gunpoint by Character 1 (Liam) and character 2 (Me).
